5 Stars – A Truly Special Birthday Celebration! We had the most wonderful experience at Le Beaujolais for my friend’s birthday — an absolute gem tucked away between Soho and Covent Garden. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere transported us straight to France with its charming, rustic character and authentic touches. A massive thank you to Pascal, our waiter, who went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine passion for French wine and hospitality made all the difference — he really was the highlight of the afternoon! The selection of wines was exceptional, carefully curated and deeply rooted in tradition. You can tell Le Beaujolais is committed to offering a true taste of the French terroir. Pair that with the cozy, historic setting and the friendly, knowledgeable staff, and you have a wine bar that’s truly one of a kind. Can’t wait to return — merci, Pascal and the entire Le Beaujolais team!

Went here for the first time after Gordon’s wine bar was a) too busy, only standing available b) too expensive for us (10 for one option of cheese) We arrived at 7pm and ended up staying until close because the food and ambience was excellent. The place feels like it has real character and the choice and level of music is ideal to have conversation whilst having ambience in the background. Although it was busy, the staff accommodated us and we waited less than 10minutes to be seated. You sit anywhere where there is space. We had the steak frites, cheese plate that had 4 types of cheeses and charcuterie which were excellent. I believe they have 25 different types of cheese you can choose from. My friend had the house wine which she was very pleased with. The staff are genuine and attentive without trying to be overly polite.Fast service with attention to quality and care. There is only one toilet for the women and one for the men which are very small however it is a small venue ( the only small feedback).

I’ve been meaning to go for sometime, and watching a show nearby meant the opportunity finally arose. I didn’t have a booking but a seat was found on a big table where others were also sat. The whole place was packed with quite an eclectic bohemian crowd in this quirky bar/restaurant which gave the place a charming energy. Both the food and wine was excellent, served quickly, and the bill when it came showed great value too. If you, like me, love bars and restaurants that herald to a bygone time in a bygone place, then please do give this place a go.

Excellent, old-school French wine bar & restaurant. Nice selection of regional French wines, reasonable prices & really helpful staff. The interior so good, with ties hanging from the ceiling and vintage posters adorning the walls. It's an amazing step into time in central London. Food looked amazing, but alas, did not try. Totally recommend for a glass (or bottle) of wine with friends.

Found it by chance, while walking along the street. Full of character, absolutely unique, great wine selection. Had a glass and enjoyed the relaxing not-so-London atmosphere. Felt like a stop in a time capsule.

What a lovely place! Thoroughly enjoyed my food (mackerel pate Toulouse sausage & lentil cheese board) and we enjoyed the house wine too. A great place to socialise, a very comfortable, relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Also perfect if your mobility is not 100%. Will definitely be returning.

We loved it here, highlight of our day out! We had 8 cheeses, which the staff picked for us taking into consideration what we like and dislike (loved that). I loved all 8! We had bread and butter with it which was refilled as soon as we finished it. The staff seemed really cool and chilled, they told us the story of the ties on the ceiling which was interesting! We will definitely be back soon for more cheese and wine, and maybe some mains next time which also looked delicious!

I found my ultimate spot in London; I think it is secretly a small piece of French territory! I actually want to keep this place for myself, but alas, I’m to vain. What a treat, good wine, charcuterie, pate, cheese, and more; served by lovely people. Don’t expect anything fancy here; visit “Le Beaujolais” to relax and ingest the French way of life in the middle of London.
